About This Blog
Happiness…so elusive, yet so simple.  Do the products I recommend guarantee happiness? No. Do I believe that happiness can be purchased? Not at all.
However.
Every product or service I mention has served me, or someone close to me, in the quest for happiness. Maybe it was a quick fix, maybe it helped to get through a seemingly endless day, or maybe it inspired a life change that led to improved health or productivity.  I can’t delude myself into thinking that an austere, monastic approach is the appropriate path to happiness (or even a feasible one) for most Americans, so if we’re going to continue to consume, we might as well go for things that really make us happy, things of quality and beauty, things that are original and inspiring and that leave a minimal impact on the planet.
Thus was born this blog.

About the Author
I work in marketing, but not for anything nearly as exciting as what I choose to write about here. I’m a filmmaker and a photographer, I’m about to turn 26, and I live in a major US metropolis. I’m deeply in love with the man to whom I’ll be married by the end of next year. I don’t subscribe to many (if any) doctrines. I currently make less than 40,000 a year, and I still drive the same car that I purchased when I was 18. I’m a vegetarian for ethical and health reasons. I run most days of the week, and I do things like pilates and yoga the rest of the time. I’ve been blogging since I was 16, and corporate/marketing blogging for nearly two years now.
Overall, I don’t have a single complaint - I’m truly happy.  There are ups and downs in any day, but I have learned that my main task is to ensure my own happiness, which is accomplished best by being true to myself. I believe in human potential, education, and continual growth, and I am passionate about fostering joy and change in the world.
